Solid hardwood is a single piece of timber — beautifully traditional and sandable many times. Engineered wood is a real-timber surface bonded onto a stable plywood core, which makes it more dimensionally stable, ideal for underfloor heating, and suitable in more situations. We'll advise on which is right for your project.
Almost always, yes. The vast majority of flooring failures — creaking, warping, lipping, gaps, premature wear — trace back to inadequate prep. DPM, latex levelling and acoustic underlay are the difference between a floor that lasts five years and one that lasts thirty.
Yes — we regularly fit out shops, offices, restaurants and hospitality venues outside business hours and over weekends to minimise disruption. Tight deadlines are something we're used to.
In most cases, yes — and we'd usually recommend it. Sanding and re-finishing an existing solid wood floor is far more cost-effective than replacement and gives a stunning result. We use dust-free equipment and modern hardwax oils, lacquers and natural finishes.
